Terms of Service
These Terms govern your access to and use of the Plateau website and application ("Plateau", "we", "us"). By using Plateau, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Plateau.
1. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Plateau. During our private beta, access is granted by invitation and authenticated via email. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your access and for all activity that occurs under it.
2. Beta service
Plateau is currently offered as a private beta. It is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, may contain bugs or change at any time, and may be modified, suspended or discontinued — in whole or in part — without notice or liability. Features described on this site may change.
3. Licence to use
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable licence to access and use Plateau for your own strategy analysis. This licence does not transfer any ownership rights to you.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense or create derivative works from Plateau, except as expressly permitted;
- reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code or underlying methods, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law;
- access Plateau by automated means, or attempt to disrupt, overload, probe or circumvent its security or access controls;
- use Plateau for any unlawful, infringing or harmful purpose, or to violate the rights of others;
- resell, share or provide access to Plateau to third parties without our written permission.
5. Intellectual property
Plateau, including its software, design, branding, text and the "Plateau" and "plateauquant" names and logos, is owned by us and protected by intellectual‑property laws. Except for the limited licence above, all rights are reserved. The data and files you analyse remain yours; we claim no ownership over them.
6. Not financial advice
Plateau is an analytical tool that measures the statistical robustness of trading strategies. It does not provide financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and nothing in Plateau or on this site is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any financial instrument. You are solely responsible for your trading and investment decisions. Please read our Risk Disclaimer, which is incorporated into these Terms.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Plateau is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non‑infringement. We do not warrant that Plateau will be uninterrupted, error‑free, or that any result, score or metric is accurate, complete, or will produce any particular outcome.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will Plateau, its operators or contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, trading losses, revenues, data or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) Plateau — even if advised of the possibility. To the extent any liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the prior twelve months, or USD 100.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Plateau and its operators from any claims, damages, liabilities and expenses arising from your use of Plateau, your trading decisions, or your breach of these Terms.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause or notice, including for breach of these Terms. You may stop using Plateau at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability and indemnity) will survive.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of Plateau is established, without regard to conflict‑of‑laws principles, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date, and continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
